Shane Mcgrew

Country to the Bone

Hometown: Enid, OK

After opening for several national acts, Shane decided to leave Fishin’ Naked, a band of which he was a member from ’94 to ’98, and pursue a solo career. He released his debut compact disc in February of 1999, and performs solo regionally. He also performs with the local Stillwater band Hippie the Cowboy. As a member of the band, Mr. McGrew contributes lead and harmony vocals, rhythm guitar, and fiddle. He is true to country and Americana music and his influences include Merle Haggard, Roger Miller, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings. Shane is also a great song writer. His original work can be heard in jukeboxes in the OK-KS-TX area with his album “Singin’ Around the Campfire.”
